The Uchida-Kraepelin Test can assess both a person’s ability potential and personality/behavioral characteristics.
For technical intern trainees coming to Japan, the original article describes two uses: before departure and after arrival.

  1. Use as an aptitude test at the candidate stage in the sending country
    • It can help assess potential relevant to Japanese-language study and training.
    • It can help assess potential relevant to technical intern training.
    • It can support matching with a host organization, occupation or specific training tasks.
    • It can provide information for considering adjustment to life in Japan.
  2. Use as a personality test after arrival in Japan
    • It can support the design and improvement of instruction and training at the host organization.
    • It can support the design and improvement of communication methods at the host organization.
    • It can support appropriate placement and improvements at the host organization.

The delivery option can be chosen according to testing frequency and the sending organization’s capacity.

The distributor trains those staff in advance.		 A test administrator from the distributor visits a location specified by the sending organization. Candidates gather at a location specified by the distributor, where its test administrator conducts the test.

Results can be returned through the sending organization or directly from the distributor to the supervising organization in Japan.
Features Tests can be administered as needed at the sending organization, allowing flexible access to Judgment without being tied to a particular schedule or group size. Available even if the sending organization cannot provide its own test administrator.

Costs other than the Judgment fee The distributor may charge for training the sending organization’s test administrator before the first session. Travel expenses for the distributor’s test administrator may apply. Normally only the Judgment fee applies. Depending on the number of candidates tested together, venue costs or the distributor administrator’s travel expenses may also apply.
Payment of the Judgment fee Normally the sending organization pays the local distributor. Alternatively, our Japanese company can arrange billing to the supervising organization in Japanese yen.
